Waterhound

Okay. So it's fantasy, but sticking it under Fantasy > Animal Characters would put it in Anthro, and as far as I know, this isn't anthro... but anywho...

I had the whole day off but couldn't use the computer, so I did some traditional art.
Of a waterhound! Or wasserhund (or wasserjagdhund), which sounds a lot spiffier XD

Ummm... yeah. Another critter I made up. It's a canine closely related to another critter of mine, the skiffal. Waterhounds and skiffals will both attack anything that come their way, and have the agility and flexibility to avoid injury, especially from wolves. The two species, though closely related, will attack each other as well, if they cross paths.
The light-colored waterhounds vary from the darker skiffals in that they live in swamps and ponds during the warmer months, while skiffals prefer forests and prairie. Waterhounds are also one of the few solitary canines, occaisionally living in groups up to four individuals.



In other words, the world of Amyrville isn't too safe beyond the city limits 0_o
