Rise of the Mammals

Description

The dinosaurs faced a mass extinction approx. 65 million years ago. This photo, taken during that specific period, explains the phenomenon that caused this mass die-out.

Clearly, the dinosaurs, being cold-blooded, could not survive the extreme climate change and were eaten alive by the more successful, warm-blooded mammals.

I love my plastic dinosaurs :)

Actually, dinosaurs were warm-blooded. Unlike modern reptiles they kept their bodies off the ground, grew up fast, and led active lifestyles. In fact, there's evidence some dinosaurs were nocturnal and even thrived in cold climates.
