I promised puppies, so here are puppies!
The pups were a springy bunch. They spent a good deal of the time wrestling over pig ears and upsetting their uncle. Methinks the responsible adult individual in this photo is their mother, Kim-ly, but I don't know these fellows too well.
If it weren't for her, I'd say these pups were playing "cowboys" -cue The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly theme-
The Brookfield Zoo's African wild dogs had ten puppies last November, but they weren't allowed outdoors until a few months ago. In general, the zoo doesn't let the pups out unless it's over 40 degrees (Fahrenheit, they live in the US) so I was lucky today; it was 42 degrees.
It was also rainy, windy, and overall miserable, but that kept a lot of people out of the zoo. Warm, sunny days mean a loud, crowded zoo. It also means I won't get frostbite or hypothermia... trifles XD
Taken at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois.
