The sea otters were the focal point of this little side trip, but the pelicans were there in so great a number and they flew so close that they were hard to ignore!
Plus, look at that thing. It's a weird-looking bird if I've ever seen one. And their beaks really do hold more than their bellies, if I understand the findings of a Japanese, animal-themed talk/game show correctly. They had scientists (professional biologists, zookeepers, and Sakana-kun) there to back up their information, so any fact I get wrong can be blamed on them XD
