Oh, look. Swans.
I've been going to the Brookfield Zoo for years. Well over half my life, I'd say. (But I'm only 18, so that doesn't really mean much)
This visit was the first time I bothered to walk around that whole lake.
Then I realized why I hadn't walked around the whole lake before; I was going to the zoo to see a ton of exotic, rare, and endangered animals, not a few common, native species that I see while volunteering.
Which is not to say it wasn't cool, (okay, it wasn't; the trail was just a fence away from the road) but the bits right next to the beginnings of the trail had some nifty things, namely swans.
